The worst Christmas movies

Posted on February 11, 2012 | Comments Off

The movie “It’s a Wonderful Life” picked up almost a fifth (18%) of the 3,000 votes cast. No one will confuse “Santa Claus Conquers the Martians” with “It’s a Wonderful Life”, but the 1964 sci-fi schlocker has won at least one award over the James Stewart classic. It’s been crowned the worst Christmas movies of all time.
Arguably director Frank Capra’s greatest film, “It’s a Wonderful Life” was actually a box-office flop at the time of its release and only acheived its classic status after its copyright protection slipped during the 1970s, putting it into the public domain – meaning that TV stations could air it for free (which resulted in nearly round-the-clock airings during Christmas time). This Christmas movie helps one understand that each decisions we make, has an impact on our life.
